information Compliance and awareness Program – Workshops

An innovative and cost effective approach for Information Security Officers delivered in a classroom setting. The workshops are conducted in a 1/2 day format that will actively engage your executives and/or Information Security Officer. Through this experience participants will "roll-up their sleeves" and work through a process to safeguard information in the workplace.

Objectives:

An operational approach designed to assess and reduce the risk of fraud, theft, or loss during the collection, handling, storage, and destruction of CSI in the workplace.

  2. Risk Assessment
    • Role of an Information Security Officer
    • Taking Inventory
    • Reducing Exposure
    • Review Current Information Handling Practices

      NOTE: Participants will be asked a series of questions to make a "self-assessment" of their workplace and will write their responses.

  3. Guidance
    • Policy Statements – Participants will be given policy statements, at this point in the workshop, that correlate to their "risk assessment" responses. These policy statements can be incorporated into their existing security policies, or populated into a new policy framework.
